Saab 9-5 Sport Combi Debuts at Geneva
2011-03-03
Saab has trotted out the 9-5 SportCombi onto the Geneva floor yesterday. The 9-5 SportCombi has a design meant to evoke Saab's fighter jet-making heritage which was developed under new Saab Design Director Jason Castriota. That design includes the wraparound rear window and the hockey-stick belt line as well as borrowing the ice-block taillights from the 9-4X. Expected under the bonnet are the same power plants as in the sedan model. Those include the 162 kW (220 PS / 217 hp) turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, a 221 kW (300 PS / 296 hp) turbocharged 2.8-liter V6, and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel with 118 kW (160 PS / 158 hp). Options will be the XWD all-wheel drive system, an adaptive chassis control, and head-up display. A U.S. launch is expected in the fall. source:worldcarfans.com- Recent News & Events
